This year we had over 70 designs submitted from students in Humble ISD. The 2024 Gold Fight Win t shirt will feature a design by Meredith at Kingwood High School. We also have three honorable mentions; Petonia from Whispering Pines ES, Violet from Willow Creek ES and Antonio from Woodcreek MS. Thank you to all the students who participated. When people walk into a high school football stadium, it is easy to see who is cheering for which team. When fans walked through the gates into Humble ISD’s Turner Stadium on Sept. 13, that appeared to be a difficult task, considering most people were given gold waving towels, signs, and pom-poms.
On Sept. 13, the Atascocita Eagles faced rival Kingwood Mustangs in the first ever “Gold Fight Win” game at Turner Stadium. Since September is Childhood Awareness Month, Humble ISD dedicated a game to the children in an attempt to bring awareness and support to the children fighting cancer.
Atascocita’s colors are red and white. Kingwood’s colors are blue and white. But when the two Humble ISD football teams meet on Sept. 13, the expected crowd of over 8,000 people at Turner Stadium will be wearing gold and waving gold towels.
